چکیده

Case report A 38-year-old patient affected by asymptomatic (NYHA I) mild left ventricle (LV) systolic dysfunction (ejection fraction 50%) secondary to previous chest ionizing radiation and chemotherapy exposure was referred to our institution due to functional class (NYHA IV) and left ejection fraction worsening (30%) 2 months after her second pregnancy and concomitant to numerous (>35 000/24 h) monomorphic ventricular ectopic beats (VEBs) from the right ventricle outflow tract (RVOT).

Radiofrequency catheter ablation for treatment of premature ventricular contractions triggering ventricular fibrillation from the right ventricular outflow tract in a patient with early repolarization syndrome

Introduction Ventricular fibrillation (VF) triggered by premature ventricular contraction (PVC) most frequently originates from the His-Purkinje system and right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) in patients with idiopathic VF. Radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) of triggering PVCs is reportedly useful for the successful elimination of VF. The diagnosis of early repolarization (ER) syndrome ...

Tachycardiomyopathy a Rare Manifestation of Left Ventricular Outflow Tract Tachycardia. Treatment with Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation

An 18 year old man with an incessant monomorphic VT was referred to the electrophysiology service for arrhythmia associated with decreased left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). The patient complained of occasional palpitations and was in functional class I. The past history was not significant and physical examination was unremarkable. The electrocardiogram showed wide QRS tachycardia sugg...

Ablation of Premature Ventricular Complexes Triggering Ventricular Fibrillation in a Patient with Long QT Syndrome

We describe the case of a patient with long QT syndrome and recurrent ventricular fibrillation, triggered by premature ventricular complexes (PVCs) with a left bundle branch block pattern and inferior axis of the QRS. Activation mapping demonstrated the origin of the PVCs to be in the right ventricular outflow tract. Ventricular fibrillation (VF) was successfully treated by catheter ablation of...

Tachycardia induced tachycardia: case report of right ventricular outflow tract tachycardia and AV nodal reentrant tachycardia.

Tachycardia induced tachycardia, or so called double tachycardia, is rare. A 34 year old woman is described who had a history of syncope, frequent extrasystoles, and episodes of non-sustained ventricular tachycardia, perceived as palpitation, without syncope. At electrophysiological study, during infusion of isoprenaline, an episode of non-sustained ventricular tachycardia arising from the righ...

Coexistence of Atrioventricular Nodal Reentrant Tachycardia and Idiopathic Left Ventricular Outflow-Tract Tachycardia

Double tachycardia is a relatively rare condition. We describe a 21 year old woman with history of frequent palpitations. In one of these episodes, she had wide complex tachycardia with right bundle branch and inferior axis morphology. A typical atrioventricular nodal tachycardia was induced during electrophysiologic study, aimed at induction of clinically documented tachycardia. Initially no v...
